Charity Golf Day

A Charity golf day has helped raised tens of thousands of pounds in aid of local childrens charity called Childrens Heartbeat Trust.

Auto Q's Craig McCormick has formed part of a small team of volunteers to organise a Charity Golf Day at Holywood Golf Club in August 2018.

The day had reached its capacity of 180 golfers after massive success in recent years. The golfers were kept topped up with bacon butties, BBQ's and a dinner buffet throughout the day as they competed for various prizes which included a top prize of a set of Taylor-made irons valued at £750 . There was also an opportunity to win a car as donated by Auto Q (pictured) but unfortunately nobody won it on the day for a hole-in-one at the par 3 4th hole.

An auction was held with local superstars signed memorabilia up for grabs. Boxers Ryan Burnetts Glove and Rory McIlroys limited edition signed tour bag were among the items that went under the hammer.

This year we reached a total of £9681.05 which brought us past the £31,000 mark for the last three years. Thank you to all our sponsors over the last number of years, you really have made all the difference.

Children’s Heartbeat Trust has been working since 1984 to provide practical, emotional and financial support to children and young people living with heart disease and their families.

We offer youth and family support services, we fund research and we campaign for the voice of children, young people and their families to be at the heart of all congenital cardiac services.
